The Hall of Fame Event is live, and it's a proper chance to land 99 OVR Trevor Hoffman without turning your bullpen upside down. If you're deciding where to put your MLB The Show 26 Stubs, start by checking the Legends and Flashbacks already sitting in your inventory. You may be closer than you think.
Start With the Points That Actually Matter
You need 100 Program Points before the event wraps up on July 31 at 12:00 PM PT. Don't drift from mission to mission. The 15,000 PXP task gives 25 points, so it's the main grind. Keep a familiar core of eligible players in your squad, play full games, and let their PXP stack up. Five wins and 50 total bases each bring 15 points, which makes them the next jobs worth chasing.
That order feels less exciting at first, sure. But PXP keeps moving even in messy games, while wins and extra bases tend to arrive naturally.
| Mission | Program Points | Best Approach | | 15,000 PXP | 25 | Keep one steady lineup | | 5 Wins | 15 | Use dependable pitching | | 50 Total Bases | 15 | Prioritise gap power |
Build for the Event, Not Just Overall Rating
The restriction is simple: Legends and Flashbacks take the field, with Bronze and Common Live Series cards available to fill empty spots. A flashy overall number won't save a lineup that can't run or defend. You want a few hitters who can drive the ball, at least one speedy option near the top, and pitchers you trust when the score gets tight.
1. Put a quick runner in your starting nine for the three stolen bases.
2. Use power bats that turn ordinary swings into doubles or homers.
Get the Smaller Missions Out of the Way
Stolen bases can become annoying if you leave them until the last few games. Take them early, preferably when you've got a decent lead and a runner with real speed. For strikeouts, don't simply chase velocity. Pitchers with a good breaking ball and solid control are easier to use when opponents start sitting on fastballs. Those Ks often show up while you're working toward wins anyway.
There's no need to rebuild the whole club overnight. A couple of smart swaps usually fix the weak spots.
1. Steal when the catcher has a slow release or calls repeated off-speed pitches.
2. Attack total bases with hitters who pull mistakes into the gaps.
Make Hoffman the Finish Line
Hoffman is worth the effort because he gives you a late-inning arm with strikeout stuff and enough reliability for Ranked games or future Events. Work through PXP first, then let wins and total bases fill the board behind it. If a position really needs help, use cheap MLB 26 Stubs on a targeted upgrade, not a full roster reshuffle. Keep playing before the deadline, and that 99 OVR closer should be yours.
